Identity Theft Crimes Increase

The Bureau of Justice Statistics Website, in a Report authored by Katrina Baum and Lynn Langton, is reporting that 2007 statistics show that identity theft is increasing.  Specifically they note that "[t]he number of households with at least one member who experienced one or more types of identity theft increased 23% from 2005 to 2007."  One can only imagine what the figures will show for 2010.

It seems that although the issue of identity theft is common knowledge and consumers should takes steps to protect themselves, either they aren't or it has become easier for fraudsters to steal identities.

Identity theft is one of the serious crime now a days all over the world and its quite difficult to stop it. I have been researching on this subject from last few years by using variations of anti identify theft tools and i found out that 70 % of the tools are Identify theft tools lol.

As far as my knowledge is concern about identify theft the best way is to educate the consumers about this subject and that can only be done if Banking, media, webbased companies and financial sector will come together to advertise about identity theft education.

IMPARTING EDUCATION ABOUT Identity Theft will at least help the numbers to decline .
