Company Reporting Law Is Unconstitutional

Months after the implementation of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), a federal court has deemed it unconstitutional. The decision came after a lawsuit filed by the National Small Business Association (NSBA) and Isaac Winkles. U.S. District Judge Liles C. Burke, of the Northern District of Alabama, Northeastern Division, ruled on March 1, 2024, stating that the CTA exceeds Congress' constitutional authority.
