To Paulina Porizkova, Betrayal Is More Than Skin Deep

Estate planningPaulina Porizkova’s new memoir, “No Filter,” explores the complicated relationship she had with her husband, Cars frontman, Ric Ocasek. Ocasek died suddenly in 2019 while the couple was in the early stages of a divorce. The supermodel then discovered that she had been removed from his will with the words “I will make no provisions for my wife because she abandoned me.”

Porizkova writes about how she was forced to explore the complicated feelings of betrayal and grief over his passing. “I thought I knew him to his bones. I didn’t." The couple captivated the public with their relationship. She was a model and he was a rock star and they had what appeared to be the rare happy celebrity couple. Porizkova shatters this misconception in her collection of essays.
