Podcast: The Law, Professional Responsibility, and the Future of Trust and Estates

The following is from an ACTEC press release:

Washington, DC – May 4, 2022: The  American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) today released its 200th episode in the ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk podcast series sponsored by The ACTEC Foundation, The Law, Professional Responsibility, and the Future of Trust and Estates.”

ACTEC President Robert (Bob) Goldman and ACTEC Fellow Beth Shapiro Kaufman provide this special podcast in celebration of the milestone. They discuss issues and forces shaping the future of trusts and estates, the practice of trust and estate planning, the ethics involved, and the ability of practitioners to positively impact the lives of individuals and families.

ACTEC Fellow and host Natalie Perry states: “The series has significantly raised awareness of the College among trust and estate professionals! The podcasts have been downloaded nearly 300,000 times and because they are also transcribed, many professionals read and study the content, too.”

In 2018, ACTEC Fellow Susan D. Snyder, now ACTEC Vice President, brought the concept of the ACTEC Trust and Estate Talk podcast series to the attention of the ACTEC Communications Committee. She served as the series’ first executive producer, with the goal that is now a reality, of providing an educational resource for ACTEC Fellows, wealth and estate management professionals and law students alike.

Please listen to and share this podcast to gain a general understanding of how current federal law and state legislation impact estate planning now and in the future.
