Lead singer of The Temptations, Dennis Edwards, passed away Thursday night while in Chicago’s Mercy Hospital. Though Edwards’s relationship with the group was rocky at best, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with The Temptations in 1989. He would have turned 75 on Saturday. The cause of death has not yet been released.
