Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner Settling Divorce Out of Court

Instead, the couple plans to settle outside the court system in order to avoid public feuding. A judge will eventually have to sign off on their final agreement. Abedin originally filed for divorce in 2017. This was after Weiner pleaded guilty to sexting a 15-year-old girl, for which he is now serving a 21-month prison sentence.
