Lawsuit Over Portrait Splits Warhol Family
The recent lawsuit by the Andy Warhol Foundation over a Warhol portrait of Elizabeth Taylor has pitted Warhol's nephews against each other, with foundation trustee Donald Warhola on one side and his cousins James and George Warhola speaking up on behalf of accused art thief Agusto Bugarin. The foundation is alleging that Bugarin stole the painting and is attempting to block him from selling the painting for $20 million. However, James and George do not believe that the painting was stolen, but rather agree with Bugarin that it was a gift.
