Humphrey Bogart's Estate Sues Burberry
Humphrey Bogart’s estate has recently filed a lawsuit against Burberry for using Bogart’s name a photo on its Facebook advertising timeline. Burberry argues that it legally licensed a photo of Bogart from the last scene of Casablanca to use in the timeline. Burberry filed a legal complaint asking a federal court to rule that its picture of Bogie is protected by the first amendment and does not infringe his estate’s trademark or publicity rights.
