Discussion of Salzburg v. Dowd

Nancy A. McLaughlin (Robert W. Swenson Professor of Law, University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law) and W. William Weeks (Professor of Law, Indiana University Maurer School of Law) recently published their article entitled Salzburg v. Dowd: Another Look, 33 Wyoming Lawyer (2010). The abstract available on SSRN is below:

This short article discusses the settlement of a case involving the attempted termination of a tax-deductible perpetual conservation easement. The settlement was a victory for the Wyoming Attorney General, who challenged a local county’s improper transfer of the easement to new owners of the land for the purpose of terminating the easement.
