Texas Wills & Trusts Survey Article

Gerry W. Beyer (Governor Preston E. Smith Regents Professor of Law, Texas Tech University School of Law) has recently published his article entitled Wills & Trusts, 63 SMU L. Rev. 865 (2010).

Here is the abstract of the article from SSRN:

This article discusses legislative and judicial developments relating to the Texas law of intestacy, wills, estate administration, trusts, and other estate planning matters during the Survey period of November 1, 2008 through October 31, 2009. The discussion of most cases includes a moral, that is, the important lesson to be learned from the case. By recognizing situations that have resulted in time-consuming and costly litigation in the past, the reader may be able to reduce the likelihood of the same situations arising with his or her clients.

A limited number of "old school" physical reprints are also available.  Please follow this link to send an e-mail request -- be sure to include your mailing address.
