Johnson & Johnson Family Loses Another Heir

Johnson3The Johnson and Johnson family has lost another potential heir.  Earlier this year, Casey Johnson, a Johnson and Johnson heiress, was found dead in her apartment.  Now, New York's highest court has ruled that the adoption of a Cambodian boy by Elizabeth Johnson, another Johnson and Johnson heiress, is void, ending a four-year custody battle.

Elizabeth attempted to adopt the child with her boyfriend in 2003.  Because legal problems prevented a co-apotion, her boyfriend adopted the child.  After the couple broke up, Elizabeth secretly obtained an adoption decree from New York Courts. That adoption was held invalid by New York's highest court because the boy had already been legally adopted.

Special thanks to David S. Luber (Attorney at law, Florida Probate Attorney Wills and Estates Law Firm) for bringing this to my attention.
