Why are you linking to a four-sentence article that provides no information not already provided in the earlier AP article that this blog linked to? The value of a blog is in its editors providing a filter (be it news analysis or selection), and that's defeated when you provide redundant links--in another post on the Vioxx class action denial, you actually provide two redundant links in the same post.

This is the only post that currently links to the $15 million Ford rollover verdict. Though I have no recollection of supplanting a post here, a link on an issue may be supplanted if in the editors' judgment it is inferior to a subsequently located link.

With regard to your comment on the Vioxx articles on class action denial, the posts link to two developing versions of the Associated Press article. The latter story, though longer, did not include all of the information in the prior story. Both stories were also posted because they showed what two major newspapers were providing on the story at that moment.
