Disbarment Proposed For Giuliani

A District of Columbia Hearing Committee has unanimously found that Rudolph Giuliani violated Pennsylvania Rules 3.1 (frivolous litigation and 8.4(d)(conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice) and has recommended that he be disbarred.

He claimed massive election fraud but had no evidence of it.

The committee concludes that the misconduct is "unparalleled in its destructive purpose and effect" and notes his refusal to "acknowledge the wrong he has done."

The recommendation as to both misconduct and discipline will be reviewed by the Board on Professional Responsibility and then by the Court of Appeals. (Mike Frisch)
