Home Alone

An attorney has been reinstated to practice by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court subject to a number of conditions that include monitoring by a judge and an attorney and counseling.

While the above conditions are in place for a year, the court ordered several lifetime bans

Petitioner shall not provide any legal advice or services (whether paid or unpaid) for any person with whom he has ever had an intimate relationship.

Petitioner shall provide all his pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Petitioner shall not provide direct financial assistance to any current, former or future clients.

Petitioner shall not allow any current, former or future clients to reside at his home.

Our prior coverage gives some insight into the reasons for the conditions. (Mike Frisch)
