For Reasons Undisclosed

A prominent District of Columbia criminal defense attorney has filed a motion for consent disbarment that has been approved by the Board on Professional Responsibility.

The admitted facts are not public in a consent, although the order reflects that the Office of Disciplinary Counsel had three matters opened for investigation in 2020.

Bernard Grimm has been a frequent television commentator on criminal law matters, as set forth on his web page

Mr. Grimm has extensive experience in federal and state courts, representing clients in both civil and criminal matters. He has tried over 200 jury trials, many of which were high profile cases. Most notably, he won an acquittal for a partner of an Am Law 100 law firm in the well-publicized Wone murder case.

He is a legal commentator on Fox News, Court TV, and CNN. Bernie is listed as a leading litigation lawyer in white-collar crime and government investigations by Chambers USA. He also has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Lawyers (#21) in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Area by Washingtonian Magazine in 2002 and received the R. Kenneth Mundy Award, presented by the District of Columbia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers to the top trial lawyer in the jurisdiction. In 2011, Bernie was inducted in to the American College of Trial Lawyers.
