San Diego Law School has founded a new Center for Employment & Labor Policy, and Orly Lobel will be the inaugural Director. The mission of CELP is to: (1) Work to elevate research, policy impact, and teaching in the field. (2) Provide a forum for engagement and debate on employment-related topics. (3) Sponsor speakers, workshops, roundtables, visitors, and fellows. (4) Provide opportunities for collaborative research by USD faculty, USD students, policymakers, and practitioners locally and nationally.
