July Employment Data

HiringThe Department of Labor just released its July employment data.  The numbers are still mediocre, but showed an improvement from the last few months.  There were 163,000 jobs added in July (compared to a revised 64,000 in June).  But because of growth in the labor market, the unemployment rate went up by a tenth of a point to 8.3%.
