Shout Out to the New FMLA Insights Blog
Jeff Nowak, a partner at Franczek Radelet, P.C., just started the FMLA Insights blog, which will highlight significant FMLA cases and developments and explore common FMLA questions and scenarios.
I believe the blog will be a valuable resource for any labor and employment practitioner.
Among their first posts is the news out of the DOL a couple of days ago regarding the interpretation of in loco parentis.Check it out!

I am a federal employee. I filed a complaint with the federal sector of eeo. My claim was investigated and we are going befor an ALJ for a final determiniation. My employer refused to process my FMLA request for 3 mos and subjected me to discipline whenever I was unable to work. The stress of being disciplined for having a disablility cased me an inordinate amount of stress. As a result of the stress I have been diagnosised with clinical depression. In reporting these issues with upper management i was also subject to a hostile work environment. I am half way to retirement and my dr. has stated that it is detrimental to my mental health to work in such an environment. At issue is 3.1 million in wages and punitive damanges. I am in need of legal counsel.
