$2 Billion Federal Available for International Educational Exchange

$1,924,839,000 allocated via title VI of the HEA and section 102(b)(6) of the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 may be used to support visits and study in foreign countries by individuals who are participating in   and who plan to apply their language skills and knowledge of these countries in the fields of government, the professions, or international development. (see Omnibus $1.1 Trillion Budget Agreement page 919).

At AALS, the International Legal Exchange Section hosted a panel, including Ms. Lana Muck (pictured below) of the State Department who discussed leveraging such available federal dollars via programs like Fulbright.
