Rumsfeld and Other Top Bush Officials Linked to Abuses at Guantanamo
A bipartisan Senate Armed Services Committee Report has said that U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other top Bush administration officials are directly responsible for abuses of detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and that decisions by those officials also led to serious offenses against prisoners in Iraq and elsewhere. The report contradicts Bush Administration claims that harsh prisoner interrogation techniques were sought by front-line military officers.
