Mexico and Canada Send Firefighters to Los Angeles
I don't need to tell you that our national discourse on Mexico and Canada is, politely speaking, not the best. Americans tend to describe Mexico as an invading force and portray Canada as a potential subject of our own invasion. Despite that, Mexico and Canada have both sent desperately needed firefighters and firefighting equipment to California to help in tackling the devastating Los Angeles fires.
Huge gratitude for our neighbors, Mexico and Canada have sent fire fighters and army to help us.

I agree that Canada and Mexico should be praised for their help, but I am more concerned with the fact that budget cuts prevented the fire department from being able to stop the fire. The fire chief explained what the budget cuts had done in this memorandum.

California seems to be suffering from budget cuts in other essential areas too, such as with their police forces.
