Trump taps immigration hard-liner Kari Lake as head of Voice of America

Along with NPR, Voice of America has been one of my regular stops for news stories.  Voice of America might be changing.   The Los Angeles Times reports that "President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that he's picking Kari Lake as director of Voice of America, installing a staunch loyalist who ran unsuccessfully for Arizona governor and U.S. Senate to head the congressionally funded broadcaster that provides news reporting around the world."

Trump has been critical of Voice of America.  Lake, a former television news anchor, will likely bring change to its format and content.  She was considered for the position of ambassador to Mexico.
