Pope Francis: “Migrants must be welcomed, accompanied, promoted, and integrated.”

Pope Francis met with an international migration organization, ResQ, this week. As the Vatican News reports, Pope Francis praised ResQ for responding to the global humanitarian crisis facing the world by rescuing people attempting to migrate across the Mediterranean and Balkan seas in non-seaworthy crafts and by supporting migrants once they reach Europe.

Pope Francis lauded ResQ in particular for its "conviction that every human being is unique and that their dignity is inviolable, regardless of nationality, skin color, political opinion, or religion.”

Pope Francis called upon all to understand that “Migrants must be welcomed, accompanied, promoted, and integrated.”
