Months ago, I raised the issue of Haitian illegal immigrants draining social services and generally causing chaos all over Springfield, Ohio.

Reports now show that people have had their pets abducted and eaten by people who shouldn't be in this country. Where is our border czar? pic.twitter.com/rf0EDIeI5i
The 2024 election is upon us. So what pressing issues are we talking about? The right to choose, the economy, the border. No, as NBC News reports, police in Springfield, Ohio, said yesterday that they had received no credible reports of immigrants harming pets, contradicting a claim by Republican vice presidential candidate Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio).
Senator Vance and other Republican lawmakers and conservative commentators, have recently alleged without evidence that immigrants from Haiti had created chaos in Springfield.
In a post on X, Vance wrote that “people have had their pets abducted and eaten by people who shouldn’t be in this country.”
The Springfield Police Division said in a statement that they were aware of the rumors and had no information to support them.
