How the 1924 Immigration Act changed the course of history
There is lots of talk on the 100th anniversary of the 1924 Immigration Act, which brought the nation discriminatory national origins quotas. Here is a conference.
The 1924 Act has been roundly condemned as discriminatory and part of a nativist outburst. However, Mark Krikorian and Roy Beck on a Center for Immigration Studies podcast speak fondly of the 1924 impact and its restrictionist impacts.
