Another Effort to Impeach DHS Secretary Mayorkas

Eight Republicans joined Democrats last night to slow an effort to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, report Melissa Quinn and Caitlin Yilek of CBS News. The House voted 209-201 to refer the impeachment measure, introduced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia), to committee.  The House in effect blocked a resolution to impeach  Mayorkas over his handling of the situation along the U.S.-Mexico border.  It instead voted to refer the matter to a committee. 

The impeachment measure includes an article that accuses Mayorkas of engaging "in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with the laws" of the United States.
