New American Fortune 500 in 2023: The Largest American Companies and Their Immigrant Roots

In a review of the most successful companies in the United States, the American Immigration Council has unveiled a report today on the contributions of immigrant entrepreneurs and their children to the U.S. economy. New American Fortune 500 in 2023: The Largest American Companies and Their Immigrant Roots finds that 44.8% of Fortune 500 companies in 2023, equating to 224 companies, were founded by immigrants or their children. 

 

 Some of the largest and most recognizable American companies were founded by immigrants or the children of immigrants. This includes Apple and Costco, as well as newcomers to the Fortune 500t like Coupang and Lululemon.
