Spring 2023 Conference: Emerging Issues in Immigration Law
The Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinical Program is honoring Clinical Professor Emerita Deborah Anker, program Co-Founder, at its Emerging Issues in Immigration Law conference on March 30-31.
The conference will commence with a celebration to honor Professor Anker on Thursday, March 30. A panel discussion with Professor Anker and her Co-Founders, Nancy Kelly and John Willshire Carrera, will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM in 2036 Milstein East on the Harvard Law School campus, where they will discuss the clinic's significant and rich history. Following the panel, attendees will be invited to raise a toast to Professor Anker and celebrate her accomplishments with champagne and passed appetizers.
On Friday, the conference will feature three panels, with distinguished advocates and experts addressing critical issues such as Anti-Blackness at the Border and Fight for Justice for Haitian Immigrants; Campaigns and Movements to End Immigrant Detention and Abuse; and Climate Change, Migration, and Envisioning New Futures for Immigrant Justice.
