Dave Simpson (Listen to article) for Law360 report that three immigration rights groups, represented by Southern Poverty Law Center and a Harvard Law School organization, sued Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in federal court Thursday, alleging that Florida's immigrant relocation program is unconstitutional. Here is the complaint.
Florida Immigrant Coalition Inc., Americans for Immigrant Justice Inc., and Hope CommUnity Center Inc. allege that the Florida program, which earlier this year transported some migrants from Texas to Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, violates the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause by infringing on federal power to enforce the immigration laws.
