It has been reported (and here) that the social media platform for business Slack has banned the immigration restrictionist group Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) from using its services Slack informed FAIR of the ban last week because FAIR violated the company's "Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy."
A Slack spokesman told the Washington Free Beacon that it banned FAIR because it violated the company's policy forbidding incitement of hatred or violence and that the nonprofit is "affiliated with a known hate group." The Southern Poverty Law Center has identified FAIR as a hate group.
"When we learn of an organization using Slack for illegal, harmful or other prohibited purposes, we conduct an investigation and take appropriate action in accordance with our policy," a Slack spokesman said.
