"Susan Rice is burning sage in her West Wing office, once occupied by anti-immigrant hardliner Stephen Miller, used to cleanse a space of negativity"

Here is a story that is getting lots of play (and here) that might be of interest to immigration watchers. Susan Rice, President Biden's director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, occupies the same West Wing office previously occupied by Stephen Miller, the Trump administration's anti-immigration hardliner, The New York Times reported.
According to the story, Rice is aware of the "symbolism" of occupying the space where Miller formulated policies such as the family separation policy, and has redecorated the room. A painting from Haiti now hangs in the room, which is scented with sage candles. The Haitian painting is ironic given that President Trump reportedly referred to Haiti as a "s---hole" country.
