Immigration in the Time of Covid by Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia

Hot off the presses: Penn State Law's Samuel Weiss Faculty Scholar and clinical law professor Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia has published a chapter in the free e-book, Law in the Time of Covid-19, titled Immigration in the Time of Covid. It takes readers on a tour through the myriad changes in immigration enforcement, border enforcement, and immigration benefits agency-by-agency. The chapter concludes:

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the immigration system. Many of
the changes have been implemented by agencies in the executive branch. Moving forward,
agencies must make decisions that prioritize the health and safety of government employees,
noncitizens, and immigration attorneys while preserving fairness and due process.
