Above the Law: "Law School Dean Considers Punishing Students For Offending Donald Trump’s Cabinet Just Because A Few Kids Are Dead"

Last fall, Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan showed up at Georgetown University Law Center for the Migration Policy Institute’s annual event.  Protestors interrupted the speech and McAleenan left.

Joe Patrice at Above the Law reports that the Georgetown Law dean's office sent around an email informing students that, among other things, the school is considering changing law school policies to allow for the punishment of students, faculty, or staff who disrupt speakers.

Protests disrupting unpopular speakers is a major issue on university campuses across the country.  We will wait and see what Georgetown Law decides to do.
