Border Quiz
What port of entry between the United States and Mexico is not staffed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection?
The Boquillas Crossing Port of Entry, located inside of Big Bend National Park, is not manned by CBP. There is a U.S. Park Ranger on site between 8-5, or 9-6 depending on the time of year. But the ranger merely checks for items purchased in Mexico. Entries are done through a kiosk system.
The NYT has a travelogue about on the trip tourists can make from Big Bend to the nearby Mexican village of Boquillas. I myself just returned from Big Bend but, having forgotten my kids' passports in Oklahoma, didn't manage to make it into Mexico.
