Border Patrol Under Fire -- Again -- for Racism

We have been reporting on the surge of unaccompanied minors at the U.S./Mexico border.  Many Americans have expressed sympathy for the children  It appears that the Border Patrol is not so sympathetic.

Here is a news report The National Border Patrol Council - the union that represents the U.S.' Border Patrol agents - is under fire after posting some controversial messages on Twitter on Saturday that critics say mocked the more than 50,000 immigrant children who have been caught crossing the border without parents since early October. The sub-human conditions in which many of these children have been kept while in Border Patrol custody was revealed earlier this month in a collection of photos released by Democratic Texas Congressman Congressman Henry Cuellar to shine a light on what the White House later described as an 'urgent humanitarian situation.

In one of the controversial 'tweets,' the agency describes low morale, and that 'New annual job rating areas: Babysitting, Diaper Changing, Burrito Wrapping, Cleaning Cells.'
