Immigration Discusson on Blogs

Jeremy Dowell, Editorial Page Editor/Northwest Valley of the Arizona Republic has a blog, which recently dove headfirst into the lion's mouth on the issue of illegal immigration. He plans to continue the discussion of illegal immigration by breaking the issue down into smaller topics. The reader responses offer an idea about the strong feelings generated by illegal immigration. Check out the blog by clicking here.

Beyond Borders Blog (click here) managed by Conor Friedersdorf  of the Inland Valley (Riverside, CA) Daily Bulletin and San Bernardino (CA) Sun also provides insights about the strong local feelings about immigration.  As many of you know, we have been engaging in a dialogue with Conor about immigration reform.

Given the strong feelings, it is not surprising that local immigration ordinances are so popular nowadays.  We will see if Congress takes up immigration reform this year and helps to address the issues raised by many people, both supporters and opponents of immigration.
