President Trump's executive orders on immigration have united strange bedfellows.
The National Lawyers Guild sprung into immediate action, supporting lawyers representing those who were denied admission or re-admission to the US. They continue to provide representation and hold rallies in opposition to the Trump policies.
At its mid-year meeting earlier this month, the ABA House of Delegates adopted Resolution 10C (as amended) urging President Trump to, among other actions, withdraw Executive Order 13769, “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States.” Resolution 10C was co-sponsored by the ABA Section of International Law, the New York City Bar Association, and others.
