Sanctimonious Barbarity: The Forced Pregnancy Alito Draft

Benjamin Davis (University of Toledo), Sanctimonious Barbarity: The Forced Pregnancy Alito Draft, SSRN (2022):

For all the reasons discussed whether ignoring the history of black women, ignoring the lack of meaningful participation of all women in voting through the 1965 Voting Rights Act, the minimizing of the divisiveness of other periods about Supreme Court decisions that miscasts Roe, the lack of a limiting principle for rights oppression at the state level, the réification (again, sigh) of a white supremacist vision of America, the perverse lack of proper pre-natal and post-natal health care for women and children as compared to a civilized developed state, and the shadow of the Equal Rights Amendment being in force, the Alito draft is an appalling disrespect for human rights and a disgrace.
