NY Legalizes Gay Marriage

From NYT:

ALBANY — Lawmakers voted late Friday to legalize same-sex marriage, making New York the largest state where gay and lesbian couples will be able to wed and giving the national gay-rights movement new momentum from the state where it was born.

No surprise here. New York lawmakers having been seriously discussing the matter for years. Their decision to legalize same-sex marriage was going to happen sooner or later.

No surprise here. NY, like California, is a very liberal state. They were going to adopt same-sex marriage eventually.
