Geisel on Campus Policing

A.W. Geisel has posted Campus Policing and Police Reform (University of Pennsylvania Law Review, Forthcoming) on SSRN. Here is the abstract:

Despite the popularity of police reform as a topic of advocacy and academic criticism, scholars have failed to critically examine the unique police forces that patrol so many of our nation’s college campuses. This Comment seeks to correct that oversight by cataloguing and modeling the laws that enable campus police and grant them their wide jurisdiction; describing the modern practice of campus policing through a case study of a large, urban, private university; and exploring how and why campus policing might be reformed.
