Brits To Experiment With Trials on the Telly

According to, the British public will have a chance to decide whether it wants its trials to be televised like in the U.S.  The Lord Chancellor, Lord Falconer, recently issued a public consultation paper on the matter, and announced a practice run of video recording of trials.  Falconer noted, however, that he did not want the televised trials to turn into "U.S-style media circuses."
