More on the Proposed Abrogation of Rule 84
Brooke Coleman has posted a guest blog entry on the patent blog, PatentlyO, regarding the proposed abrogation of Rule 84 and the official forms.

Good article. It's a misapplication of Twombly to expand it into some general requirement of heightened pleading, instead of confining it to the complex area of law it arose from. Ditching Rule 84 and the forms just contributes to the trend of longer, denser pleadings (and longer, denser judicial decisions based on those pleadings) , when that trend really needs reversing.
