Poll finds only 35% of people believe government surveillance has "gone too far in restricting civil liberties"

Most people believe that the government does not read emails and that the government will go to a court for a warrant if they wish to record your phone calls. Most people believe in the mantra of "metadata" and think it applies to no one but Communists who steal the atom bomb secrets.
