Jay Nixon did the right thing. The Missouri Legislature is all RepubliCan. They are what we in Missoura call "Unreconstructed".
This means that they repudiate any law that is based on equal protection or right of privacy or fundamental rights extended to individuals against the State by the 14th Amendment which was passed in the Reconstruction Era. The Supreme Court of Missouri is unreconstructed on issues like sufficiency of the evidence in a circumstantial case. The Doc Nash case is one example. State v. Samuel Freeman is another. The Governor has gone against the grain of the Unreconstructed Retards.
