Passing the (Blog) Torch
Between politics and the Olympics, the image of a torch is certainly in the news now. In the spirit of passing the torch, this post is to update our readers on new leadership for the Appellate Advocacy Blog.
I am pleased to announce that Charles (Charlie) Oldfield will be the new managing editor of the Appellate Advocacy Blog. Charles is the Director of Legal Writing at Akron Law and an Assistant Professor there. He has extensive practice experience, including an all-important judicial clerkship. And he loves baseball. I am thrilled to pass the blog to him.
I will still blog as my schedule allows, but I have taken on a new role at the University of Arizona as the Assistant Vice Provost for Native American Initiatives. I am honored and excited to be tapped for this role, which is focused on student success, faculty development, and building strong partnerships with Native nations in Arizona and beyond. I will still remain engaged in the College of Law, and I still plan on editing the Journal of Appellate Practice and Process.
It has been a privilege to manage this blog over the past many years. Congrats Charlie!
