Deputy Assistant Attorney General Roger Alford Delivers Remarks at the 2019 China Competition Policy Forum


The purpose of competition enforcement is an issue that is being discussed within the United States, as well as around the world.  The current debate centers on the differences between the consumer welfare and the public interest standard.  We believe the consumer welfare standard should remain our guiding light because the goals of consumer welfare and competition go hand-in-hand.
