Gonzales on Antitrust
I am listening right now to the confirmation hearings for Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General, and in response to a question on telecom mergers, the candidate responded that competition in telecom is important and stated that he would like to be educated more by experts in the field. In response to a more specific question about the telecom industry, Gonzales said he would need to learn more about the issues before responding.

Is there any reason to believe that he deviates from Bush's statements in 2000 that only price-fixing should constitute antitrust law violations?
