The Skilling Case - Stay Tuned
Tom Kirkendall, over at Houston ClearThinkers, has landed on some interesting court entries in the Jeff Skilling matter. (see here) And yes, we both are wondering if this development is in some way tied into the Fastow Notes (see here).

Thanks for the update on Skilling case. Interesting approach by Skilling's attorneys. So, Skilling feel that Fastow's notes, the non disclosure of Fastow's notes by the gov't in the trial, and a possible side deal with the prosecutors and Fastow will the smoking gun to bail him out of his corporate crimes in the Enron scandal? I don't think Skilling will get all of his convictions overturned. Remember Skilling's brilliant scam strategy: mark to market accounting in which anticipated future profits from any deal were tabulated as if real today. And that is why Skilling, Lay, and Fastow are called the Smartest Guys in the Room.
