The Trump tax plan clearly aims to get rid of the estate and gift tax. As wealthy Americans have become ever wealthier, it seems somewhat odd to get rid of a tax designed to alleviate what has become a massive disparity between the rich and poor. As is always the answer, it would be best if the benevolent hand of government were to take from these undeserving rich and redistribute their wealth in the efficient manner for which the D.C. bureaucracy is so well known.
