Son Sued Mother For Proceeds From Lake Norman Estate

Lake norman estateA 19-year-old heir to his father’s estate sued both his mother and her disbarred attorney for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars that his father left for him in a trust.  When Fritz Detmers passed away at the age of 78 in 2009, he had left hundreds of thousands of dollars in a trust account that his son, Tols Detmers, was to have access to when he turned 18.  Charlinette Detmers, the mother, was supposed to get $60,000, but her lawyer gave her $311,000 instead.  A “two-story, 2,400-square-foot brick home on White Oak Lane” has been put up for sale for $525,000 to pay off the lawsuit.  Neither the mother nor the son have commented on this story yet.
